FREQUENTLY ASKED

Q. How are they different from Sphynx?

A. While Sphynx have a sturdier build, Peterbalds have much slimmer, elongated 'Oriental' lines. Peterbalds also have a wider variety of coat types, from total hairlessness to brush-like textures.

Q. Do they get cold easily?

A. Yes, without fur to insulate them, they have low thermal regulation. They must wear sweaters in winter or live in high-temperature environments.

Q. Do they dislike baths?

A. Since they require regular bathing from a young age, most are very accustomed to water. Some even enjoy the warmth and relaxation of a bath session.

Q. How intelligent are they?

A. They are highly intelligent and observant. They are great at solving puzzle toys and may even learn to open doors or mimic their owner's actions.

Q. Are they hypoallergenic?

A. While the lack of fur helps, allergies are often caused by proteins in saliva and skin oils. It is essential to spend time with one before adopting if you have allergies.
