FREQUENTLY ASKED

Q. Why is it called 'Mist'?

A. The name comes from their unique coat pattern, which looks as though it is seen through a fine mist or veil, rather than being sharp and distinct.

Q. Are they really good with kids?

A. Yes, they are exceptionally tolerant and patient, often allowing children to handle them more than most other breeds would tolerate.

Q. Are they available outside Australia?

A. While possible, it's difficult. They are still quite rare globally, with most breeders located in Australia, the UK, and parts of Europe.

Q. Do they have a strong hunting instinct?

A. No, they were specifically bred to be domestic indoor companions, prioritizing social interaction over the hunting instincts of their Abyssinian ancestors.

Q. Is their coat easy to care for?

A. Yes, their short, dense coat is very low-maintenance. A quick weekly grooming is usually all that's required to keep them looking their best.
